Data Deletion

Effective 2026-08-13

This document is a draft published for launch and is pending final legal review. It may be updated; the effective date above reflects the current version.

This page explains how to ask Asmita, operated by Founderfreedom Ventures LLP, to delete your personal data — what we delete, what we must keep and why, and how long it takes. This fulfils your right to erasure under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

1. How to request deletion

  • In the app: open your account's Privacy settings and choose to delete your

account and data.

address, with your registered phone number, and ask us to delete your data.

  • By WhatsApp: message us from your registered WhatsApp number.

To find your account we use the identifier you give us — your registered phone number (and your name, if provided). We may ask you to confirm control of that number before we delete, so that no one but you can erase your data.

2. What we delete

  • Your account and profile — name, phone number, and preferred language.
  • Your farms, field locations and boundaries, and crops.
  • Your scans, advisories, activity, and any security secrets tied to your account.

3. What we keep, and why

  • Records we are legally required to retain — for example, records of a completed

procurement or settlement you took part in, kept for tax, audit, and dispute purposes for the period the law requires.

  • Aggregated or de-identified data that can no longer identify you (for example

neighbourhood counts). This is not personal data and is not deleted.

Retained records are minimised and access-restricted, and are deleted or anonymised once the legal retention period ends.

4. How long it takes

We acknowledge a deletion request within 3 working days and complete deletion within 30 days, unless a longer period is required to meet a legal obligation — in which case we will tell you.
